Tra gli aspetti minatori dell'artrite reumatoide sembra che rientri la stipsi, più o meno cronica. La possibile compromissione della regolare funzionalità intestinale appare evidente secondo i risultati di una recente ricerca condotta dall'Università di Malmo in Svezia, e pubblicata sulla rivista: Rheumatology di luglio 2008.
